Glimpses

Little glimpses of what I do to get inspired and gain new knowledge.

Process - master thesis

A few weeks left now. Then I finish up my Master in Industrial design. It feels quite unreal, and I am excited to see where my career takes me after this. Lund has been an amazing place to be the past 5 years, giving me new skill sets and friends for a lifetime.

The next week will be all about finishing up my final design, which is really exciting, but I have to say, it is the process, the unknown, that I enjoy the most.

Now, back to work! :)

Space research trip to NASA

A few weeks ago I got the amazing opportunity to go to NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas to do research for my current project. At the end of the two week visit I presented my ideas to NASA scientists and I am now working to finalize a concept here in Sweden for a final presentation in December. Until then, here are a few photos from the trip.

Coffee Corner featured online

We received a lot of positive feedback for our IN OUR OFFICE exhibition in Milan and it is fun to see that Coffee Corner by me and Anna and the other IN OUR OFFICE projects are featured on Dezeen, Core77 and Fast Company .

"Another need for these businesses? Ways to humanize their offices. To that end, Anna Mattson and Isis Flote created a tiny elevated table for coffee breaks that can nestle into corners—and Elias Monzon created a series of hanging planters." /Diana Budds, Fast Company

Textile printing at Konstnärernas Kollektivverkstad

Textile printing course at KKV in Malmö.

To expand my knowledge in textile printing, I took a weekend course at KKV textilverkstad taught by Margareta Heijkenskjöld Holmgren och Dyveke Zadig. The workshop was beautiful, and the teachers were knowledgeable and passionate about their work. A course I could really recommend to others within the field of design or art, who wants to develop their technical skills.
