An imagined food supply chain on Mars for storing and preserving food, to make Martians independent from Earth.
The year is 2050. The first human set foot on Mars 20 years ago and the population on Earth is now 9.6 billion people.
There is not enough food for everyone on Earth.
A new type of human is in development: The Martian. An entire food supply chain has to be built up from scratch, and to become completely Earth independent, this supply chain would has to be sustainable. Not until food can be stored safely in large amounts on Mars can the food supply from Earth be completely phased out.

Final Concept
The final concept is a food preserving system for storing food while also giving the food more flavour through fermentation. Ensuring no food is wasted on the new planet, while also making sure it tastes delicious.
